Melbourne Sept-Oct

It has indeed been a long time since i last had the occasion to scribble something down about our travels. I seem to have lost myself in Melbourne life, somewhere between the bustleing trams and the deliciously golden coffee.

Yann has found a job, quite ironically, in the poshest french restaurant in the south of Australia, "Koots". Not only the clients are not allowed to touch anything apart from their own cutlery and their napkin, they must also not be spoken to by any member of the staff apart from the "maitre de salle". I mean come on, where has all the humanity gone from this job! I quote Yann, "Well, They all look like aliens anyway, lifted, stretched and smoothed out".... I guess that explains it then.

I have been busy with my café also, Our new manager has been making sure everyone knows each other on bonding outings.....to the pub. Works very well.

No, seriously i have been working my butt off, working at the café full time aswel as a few catering events through my boss Sabrina, who is an excellent chef. She previously worked for the Australian goverment as the italian food ambassader. (p.s She makes perfect pizza!)

Yannick and I drove out to Sorrento yesterday, a little town on the coast, 2hrs from Melbourne. It was a beautiful day and although the surf was not good, we still got a tan and sea air in our lungs.

Y & I, with George and Maddy, friends that we met in the Whitsundays, up on a roof top bar.....on a rather chilly evening in Melbourne.
